...................................................................................

I had a couple inquiry's over my avatar so I put up some pics for you guys.
I hope you like them, if you have any questions let me know.
In the interests of full disclosure I actually had an interview with GW painting team a few months ago, and brought some of these along with me (...and didn't get the job) so sad.

That is GW’s loss. These are amazing (and I hang out with a few professional miniature painters so I know quality when I see it). The red/black blending in particular is fantastic.

Please tell me you’ve thought about doing commission work or something similiar with your talent?

Thank you, you're too kind,
When i'm bored of stuff i've painted and put it up on ebay, I do get commission offers ya.

If anyone is interested in how GW do their job offers for painters, they take a bunch of you up to Nottingham and spend the day painting with the team. Kind of fun but also you're accutely aware the people you're around are your rivals for the job you want.
Before that, they send you a box of space marines to paint in the post.
I had to paint Ultramarines 3rd company.

Anyhow...
I didnt get the job but at least got a box of 10x free nu-marines out of it so can't complain too much lol.

Awesome skills. Be keen to see how those Van Saars progress, they look badass already!
And having generally worked in professions based on my varying hobbies most of my life, gotta say you may be better off not having got the job. Keeping your hobbies as hobbies you really enjoy is better for the brain than trying to make money from your hobbies (y)

Those are amazing models, awesome skill! And very lovely choice of colours for the Van Saar, they are definitely my favorites of the bunch (y)
There is one thing that bugs me though, and I hate to be that guy (but somebody has too): why are those gun barrels undrilled?

Mad skills mate! (y)
It’s GWs loss, because your necro minis, in my opinion, are so much better than the studio versions we see adorning are rules and packaging.
Please post more as your getting stuff finished, it’s really something to aspire to. :)

Yeah, that is probably why you didn't get the GW job...:p (sorry, couldn't resist.)

Your painting is absolutely stunning, to the level that it makes me feel embarrassed that I ever bothered to post any of my models.

It’s probably a good thing you didn’t get the GW job. I’ve got lots of friends who’ve worked in GW stores, and 3 who’ve worked in the Nottingham office. None of them lasted more than 2 years, they all hated it by the time they left, and most said they’d never do it again.
(Of the mini painters I know, 1 had a bit of a breakdown and another refuses to have anything to do with, or anything from GW.)

Is your eBay avatar the same as here? I’ll definitely be looking out for your work there. Amazing stuff.

Hah! Told ya a thread'd go down well ;) All as beautiful as the Goliaths, stunning work, and commiserations matey I've had the same experience being one of 7 up for a WHW Studio Modeller and Painter job, it's awesome but emotionally draining eh :) As they say, keep it up, keep having fun and keep sharing these beauties with us bunch of weirdos :D

How has nobody asked for the painting recipes of these beauties yet???

Gorgeous choice of colours and application.

Goliaths are;

Red = basecoat spray is Mephiston Red > wash black > Relayer Mephiston Red > Evil Sunz Scarlet > Wild Rider Red > Edge Highlight Kislev Flesh.
Black = Vallejo German Grey > Black wash > German Grey > Mech. Grey > Admin Grey.
Silver = Vallejo Gunmetal Grey > Black wash > Edgehighligh VMA Chrome.
Green hair = Any dark green > black wash > Warpstone Glow >Moot Green. Tiny, tiny drop of a yellow to make the highligh pop.

Van Saar.

Basically just a custom mix of 30% Incubi Darkness & 70% Kabalite green. If you want the same shade armor as mine, you will want to doctor that recipe for your basecoat.

So, basically, you want to put that down for your basecoat > wash Corellia Greenshade, then edge highlight Sybarite green > Gaussblaster Green.
Pale skin is: Rakarth Flesh > wash Reikland Fleshshade > VMA Silver grey.
Gold; Balthazar Gold > wash Earthshade > Edge Sycorax Bronze.
Tubes: Screamer pink > Wash Druchii Violet > Screamer pink > increasing amounts of Emperors Children.

Orlocks = 100% the same colors as Furious D. (Duncan) painted on Warhammer tv for his Painting Orlocks tutorial.

Only other tips are, try to keep a steady hand and have patience with each step, really theres not a whole lot else to them.
And thanks again for all the comments guys
