Hey all,

I've recently picked up the new Vaults of Temenos book, and in it you can make an alliance with The Imperial House. The Enforcer Bodyguards you get as allies come equipped with disintegration guns and I was wondering if anyone knows if the guns have a points cost somewhere?

A player in my upcoming campaign is doing an Outcasts gang and wants to ally with The Imperial House for fluff reasons. Outcast rules give your gang the allies weapons as common to equip your fighters. The layered flak armour and armoured undersuit have points costs so the player can buy those items. I know the magnacles do not have points costs so they are not purchasable pieces of wargear. I've not seen disintegration guns before but there tons up publications out there so am wondering if I've just missed them.

Magnacles are in the book of judgement.
Disintegration guns are not in the other books. There are many items without cost, typically on Dramatic personas, that are non standard items as well.
Spamming disintegration guns on your gang would be too unbalanced however far too powerful for everyone to have.

oh wow I completely missed magnacles in the black market xD thanks. As for the disintegration guns I had a feeling they didn't have points costs but wasn't sure. If they did have points costs I know they'd be very expensive cos obviously their stats are fantastic. I while you could spam them if you wanted I don't think you'd be able to spam them too crazy as hive scum can't have special weapons until they are specialists and you can't start with any of them turned in to specialists.

Yeah, if you want to quickly lose all your friends, take as many of anything with the word "disintegration" in the name as many times as your list and budget will allow, and take more as soon as possible.

:giggle:

Thank you. Ok, so that's when you need for whatever reason to buy some or more. The errata of April 2022 say p 18 that they are among the starting equipment of enforcers.

In the badzone article it's said "A Badzone Enforcer captain is equipped with an armourec undersuit and magnacles (included in their starting cost)"

The way i understand it's free for an enforcer but if he wants to use more than one he has to pay for it.

There's no value to having more than one set of magnacles on a fighter. It's potentially more "realistic" that if you use them on Gary, you can't use them on Dave next turn, but that's not what the rules state.

No Enforcers, it's free. It's included in the cost of the fighter, just like the undersuit.

The only people who'd pay 20creds would be any non-Enforcers who want them for their Goliath Stimmers or their Van Saar Neoteks for example.

My group is a bit timid, the players often bottle on thier own way before they need to, apparently they value thier juves and gangers lives more than the hivers do, so they splash out on magnecles and restrain a lot.
I don't. I rather get ablative armour or undersuits.

There are no rules as of yet for the cost of a Disintegration Gun. But if you're keen I'd say 120 Credits would be a fair price to pay. Plasma Guns are 115 credits in the newly updated Rule Book, and are about the same in their effects.

Ignore the nay sayers and do whatever is fun, and if your "friends" have issues, then I'd also say they were Special Weapons as well, so if any bandwagon weirdo has issues with you taking them, only your leader, champions, and specialists can take them.

Hope that helps!

Disintegration guns have no points cost for a very good reason. They are INSANELY POWERFUL, and should NOT be casually allowed in Necromunda! If they had a points cost, it would be MASSIVE, like 200cr!
