Video Games / Self Isolation Thread

Not GW related, but a friend put me onto Mount and Blade for the ps4 recently. Between that and Vermintide 2... I'm set. M&B is some epic sandbox, think the old medieval total war games, but as if you played a individual in that world, and had to rise to be a noble, a king, whatever you wanted, but started life with the cloth on your back only. Such a harsh game, but soo fun!

I've clocked something north of 800 hours in Warband on Steam, and that's not counting certain mods with their own launchers.

Warband's sequel, Bannerlord, was recently released on Early Access. Haven't gotten it yet as I'm waiting for a sale, but it looks good. I hope the modding scene will be as lively as Warband's!

Raising the thread as I bought Bannerlord a few days ago and have already spent 17 hours on it. I was afraid it'd amount to a graphics update for Warband, but there's good amounts of new stuff (like smithing and clan management) and much-needed adjustments (overhead stab for spears, directional block for shields, skills that improve as you use them rather than via point allocation). It also feels very polished for an Early Access title and the world is just gorgeously detailed in all its dark age glory. My only real gripe is that my laptop's getting too venerable to run these kind of games well!
