I remember unit fillers!
I mean, it’s a bit telling when your game system has a price per model ratio so wrong that people have to resort to padding out units with other stuff.
I’m surprised they’re encouraging it, two fold - first as suggested above “proxying” is really against what they’re after, which is you buying endless boxes of models.
Second, it’s one of the symptoms of why WFB went out of fashion…
I mean, I never felt the need to pad out my 40k Ork mobs by adding a cactus on a base…
…maybe I should have!! 
Would’ve made it a bloody sight cheaper!!
On the other side though… I do like a nicely done diorama - and that spooky tree looks lovely.
Do you even change unit formations anymore? If not why not just make a nice big diorama (like Kings of War) base and find another way of recording casualties?
