N18 What do delaque players do for range?

Im in the process of finalizing my delaque list for my first campaign, but basically, I wanted to hear what other delaque players go-to options for long range are? It seems like we're pretty lacking, all told.

Am I just salty at the lack of boltguns? Autoguns seem like the only remotely reasonably priced option we have.

Here's the list I'm looking at: https://yaktribe.games/underhive/print/cards/277558?i=0&r=0

It feels very close range heavy, but I don't think getting rid of either of the melee duders would result in "trading up" in any reasonable capacity.

So I'm interesting in hearing if custom dictates that you just accept that we're a melee and close range gang, or if you guys have any go-to ranged options that I've dismissed unfairly?

Gangers especially seem really bad up for weapons, since they can't hit up the trading post for stuff, and as far as I can tell, we can't even give them any of our close range tricks to make up for our lack of conventional dakka on them. Should we just live with them permanently being in the "warm body" status to pad our gang? I guess autoguns are a good deal, but I feel like we lack a pathway to build gangers tall during the campaign.

Lasguns with Hotshots, the same as the other gang without ganger access to Bolters does.
Huh, guess I completely forgot about hotshots and lasguns. I got hung up on cheap auto-pistols, then defaulted to autoguns.
I guess str 4 AP -1 and 18 inches of +1 isn't half bad at all for 55 creds.
Doesn't Delaque have access to Shotguns, too?
Sure! Although I think they're kinda bad? Or maybe I just had the unfortunate luck of playing vs an enforcer for my first three matches (two of them were 3-way fights) and that kinda soured me on non-rapidfire shotties? They feel expensive and short range.
At least your Specialists and Champs can take Long Rifles at the start!
True. Are those good? They're at least relatively cheap, which I like a lot!

In my opinion, that S4 D2 is quite a nice way to knock out champs and leaders early on - it's a useful tool to bring. Also keep in mind that you can get Executioners later even if it's not in your list, since ammo is Wargear. +1 on 4-16" with -2 AP is worth the risk of re-buying it later methinks.

It's probably not a weapon you want too many of, though,

I love shotguns and having executioners on the house list (For champs) is pretty amazing imo.

For range, sniper rifles and plasma guns should help to keep the enemy's head down whilst your sprinting/ infiltrating web guns get to work.

I tend to find that most of the action happens at around 12".

The Long Rifle/Overwatch combo is a relatively cheap and iconic sniper set up. It gives you more table control than the weapon damage would indicate.

Shotguns are good and can become very good with special ammo. That said, anything lacking AP is going to have challenges dealing with Palanite/Subjugator armor.
