What's on your mind?

I'm currently not on insta, but perhaps a seperate post could be easier to track?
asking people to put it in their footer could be equally helpful, but after a while new people will not know why people all put their insta in their footer

edit: using the happy filter on Warhammer... hmmm :D

Only problem I see with imgur, is it doesn't work very well on mobile... But if you make albums abd link to them, I guess it works.
Browser or app? It works well enough for linking on Android at least, both app and browser versions, but I suppose it all depends on what you want to do.

Browser, @SirFrog. It's been a while since I tried, but as I remember it would only link to an album. Seeing as I keep all my necromunda pictures in one album, it wasn't practical. Maybe I'll give it another try.

has anyone tried selling off non-primaris marines? Is there a market for that? I’m talking 4th edition era plastics when they started making them all plastic. They’re all assembled and painted into a chapter of my creation, which I’m assuming would downgrade their desirability. Just something I’m pondering at the moment.

I assume there are always buyers, but also lots of sellers.

If they're still on 25mm bases, that may also make them less desirable (unless buyers want them for 'middlehammer').

You might not get a lot for them as there are a lot in circulation. It's the kind of thing I'd ask Trolltrader for a quote on, but that's UK only and I don't know if there's an equivalent service where you are.

casting quality improved 10? years ago, but GW still casts most off the old range.
you could enquire on the bolter&chainsword forum?

Peculiar era at present. Is getting more nostalgic for those who were young and active playing it but nowhere near as popular as the 1st and 2nd Edition ranges.

One of the bigger issues is that from 40k 3rd they did move to more plastics (Orks being one of the bigger image changes) and then those plastics were tweaked over the next five editions. Consequently there’s tonnes of very similar looking ones out there being sold off.

A 3rd Ed Marine or Ork in plastic isn’t really much different from 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th.

Plus plastic, while strippable, isn’t as chemical resistant as metals and being a kit a lot of the fun is gone being already assembled.

Saying that there may be a market for those who want a bit of Recent-hammer and possibly want to buy a pre-done army so they don’t have to. I can’t imagine it’s huge though.

The easy build plastics from Battle for Macragge (4th ed) and Assault on Black Reach (5th ed) have started gaining some traction. Maybe it's the goal to paint up a starter set or something.

I'm in a 2nd Ed phase just now as the old man nostalgia has hit and that's the edition I played most. The starter set tactical marines cleaned up very nicely when chucked into some Biostrip overnight.

I have a vague recollection that GW actually reissued the 4th Ed starter set contents as a made-to-order a while back?

They did one of 6th - Dark Vengeance. Possibly 5th too.
