Where do you work?

Well I do all my best work in the dark, ;), so there is no sense in posting a picture of darkness because, well, it would just look like a black rectangle in my post...

But seriously I think this is a really cool idea for a thread. My paint desk is in my room, so that is hardly impressive, but I should have a chance this weekend to get my gaming lair cleaned up and organized, so I will get pics of that up in here. Excellent use of the walkin, @sump dweller (y). What are the larger scale miniatures on your shelf?

Good idea random pics from my iPhone the one of the desk is mid table building project so excuse the mess!

...discontinued 54mm Inquisitor range. If you are interested, pictures of them can be found here.

I had no idea the miniatures range had ever been that big for that game. When I got into Necromunda in 2010, Inq was on its way out, so I only ever knew of what was still on the GW site at that time. Always impressive to see a collection of fully painted miniatures. Those black and white striped trousers look amazing :)

woh woh woh @hreikin ... we need some close ups of that tower block! don't think you're slipping that in there and no-ones noticing!

Love all the straw detail work, @hreikin. Will you be able to cut through the shelving frame for holes in the floors and the sides out to the stairs, or would that take away from structural integrity? You could always just glue a door looking piece on either side and it would work without issue.

Makes me wish I had an attic

thanks @Blood Donor if im honest i dont know without trying concerning the doorways :D but my plan is to magnetise some supports and add a mounting beam along the edge of each main floor to connect them on to, this way i can surround the main floors with extra walkways/etc to connect up the stairway/ladders/lift on the ends . . . i hope that makes sense :D

At the moment I have like 20 boxes and three trays of stuff that I push around in the basement. It's two boxes just for paints and pigments alone. It starts with picking up things to work with upstairs and pile it up until I get sick of it and clean up, bringing things back downstairs. Upstairs I also use trays to take something to the living room and work on stuff in front of the telly. That's instant chaos, because there's no constant place for anything.

With milder weather now it's time to clear out the basement and make the important parts accessible. I still have the same old computer table down there that I did my hobby work on as a teen. I just need to move around what is stored on the huge shelf on the right and perhaps build simple racks for paint, bits, scatter and tools. Another light source and some space for the laptop on the left will make everything perfect for now. The only problem is it's not well ventilated and in fall it will be freezing again. We'll see.

I work on a TV tray in front of the TV... cause I'm lazy? Plus I just carry the mess into the other room/garage when people are coming over and most of the mess disappears. I could work in the garage at my workbench, but the couch has this awesome person I married on it working on her projects.
