Well, at the moment we're trying to collate all the suggestions from the general principles section. If you'd like to handle the third page that would be great, if you send your email address to @TopsyKretts he'll give you access to the master Suggestions document.

Excellent! To get started please message @TopsyKretts with your email to get access to the document, could I ask you to collate the suggestions from page four of the general principles thread? That would be a great help.

Oh, and if you and @Jayward could be sure to start off with a heading of which page you're on that would be very useful.

Edit: crikey, you're on the ball!

Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated. I'm sure Topsy feels the same

Okay, I've sent the message but actual collating will have to wait until tomorrow at this point

I will first point out that I have never played a N17/18/20 session. All my ‘Munda has been N95. As such, I doubt I would be very helpful in that regard.

I also work six days a week this winter, so I doubt I would be very helpful in THAT regard, either. But I look forward to eventually having the time to cheer this effort on from the cheap seats.

Ok guys, I've cleaned up the First pass doc.

Please, when adding new suggestions to it try to follow those guidelines:
  • put them in the right place (suggestions are organized in sections, and within each section suggestions are roughly in the same order as the corresponding pages in the hardback rulebook)
  • use proper formatting (Title 3 for titles, Normal for body)
  • update the Table of content when you're done
At this point, I'm treating the first pass as a brainstorming of sort and I'm not filtering anything out. If it has been mentioned in the corresponding thread, then it should be discussed during the second pass.
So I've added a bunch of things. A lot are probably still missing, so don't hesitate to add them. We should also probably check the initial thread for additional suggestions.

Edit: in fact, I've added another level of titles so that things can be organised in the same way as the rulebook.

Awesome, thanks!

If anyone wants to improve the format and layout, please do so! I'm not the best at keeping things clean, so I just made minimal effort to have basic layout in the start.

While we don't want another NCE or original Necromunda edition, we are going to use previous editions as inspiration for fixing some of the most severe issues related to the campaign.

Okay, I've gone through everything on pg 3 of the 'General Principles' discussion and added it all in, excluding repeated suggestions, and one that pertains to scenarios so it doesn't have a place yet.

@Al_Weeks you took Pg4; has anyone done 5 yet?

From the sounds of it I think a Google Sheet instead of a Google Doc would be very much worth using for the first and second pass stages; this will make the job of classifying, organising and deduping everyone's suggestions far easier, allow you to sort and filter, score and assign numerical ID's to suggestions (and eventually, rules) and build connections between rules and suggestions that impact each other (via said numerical ID's).

I would only move to an actual doc once the second pass is complete, once you know what you're writing, with what structure and in what order.

I'll hopefully have finished summarising page 4 later this afternoon and then I'll put the points into the document in the appropriate format.

Wow folks, I just looked at the First Pass document and it is a thing of beauty! Is that your doing @TopsyKretts?

I must admit i'm a little unsure how to add stuff to it now... any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I see it has been heavily modified since my initial small start 🤠 . I'm not up to date on the new layout, but it looks good. I suggest anyone working on it spend some time looking at how headers are used for various categories and topics, and emulate that as good as possible.

The original idea was to summarize all suggestions into this document. This is part of the "first pass" of development. This is the brainstorming phase. After we have discussed all changes for all sections, we will use this document for the "second pass" where we make decisions on what to change.

Hopefully we can spend a limited amount of weeks to create a list of topics (divided into suitable categories/sections). It is expected to take a lot more time to discuss the actual rule changes for the final product!
