Aaaaarrggggg!!! Work chose a hell of a time for s#^t to hit the fan. I've had no time to work on my entry for the last 5 days. I'll have a few hours to finish off this evening, then I'll get pics up tomorrow some time. Wish me luck
Good luck!!

Hard to find a good angle for pics, this compilation is the best I can manage....
Cancerslug hasn't evolved over the past few weeks, been happy where it was at!

No one in Sludge Falls know where Katarina (AKA Plasma Kat), leader of The Purple Panthers, got her pet. They just know it's not from Necromunda. Some have heard of big cats from Terra, but none know exactly what they look like...

No one in Sludge Falls know how much of the pets appearance is genetics, cosmetic surgery or simply paint. It might be a mutation, and there are occasional whispers of xenos, but not near Plasma Kat or her Panthers, and not too loudly as no one want the Redemption around...

Everyone in Sludge Falls know, that if you mess with Plasma Kat, you'd better be prepared for Plasma Kitty!

I present Plasma Kat and Plasma Kitty!

Slugrubs, aka Turdworms.

“Hello my baby, hello my honey, hello my ragtime gal...”

These creatures have becomes increasingly popular, since their recent discovery, as pets, intruder deterrents, and as waste disposal units. Their common name, “Turdworms”, accurately depicts not only their appearance, but also their diet, habitat and smell.

Consuming all manner of debris, as well as other critters that are attracted to garbage, has made them a cheap alternative to septic systems, and when they are further than a short crawl away from a meal they sit upright sticking out their stinky & sticky tongues to attract flies and other carrion feeders - and will latch onto the legs of anyone unfortunate enough to get within snapping distance of their gaping maws.

.oO(I am being told that I could get a better photo, and that I forgot to put the eye dots on... ah well. The black and white inage image doesn’t look toooo bad)

It's been a mad dash rush to get these guys finished but I've had so much fun with this comp. On the few breaks I've taken from painting last night and this afternoon it's been really enjoyable seeing everyone else's entries coming in. Well done all (y)

I've decided to stick with my second idea for a name "The Lurgtoad" as I feel it evokes the right sense of lurkyness and lurgyness together.

Deep in the foulest depths of the hive, where human filth and waste have percolated for millennia the Lurgtoad thrives. They we're an off-world species introduced long ago in Necromundas past as a means of waste management. Their digestive systems can break down virtually any biological waste and as such their bodies are host to countless deadly diseases and malignant forms of bacteria, so much so that a single brush with one of these beasts will most likely cause a slow agonizing death. Although the main part of their diet is human waste these omnivores have also evolved over the millennia to become deadly predators. While they will eat almost any of the hives fauna their favoured prey are necromundas giant rats, which their "lanterns" produce an incredibly pungent smell of decaying flesh to lure. They lurk unseen at the sumps edge or in piles of debris and pounce on prey with powerful leaps to stun them, and then devour the hapless victims with their many rows of razor sharp serrated teeth....

Amazing! Been exciting to see each stage of development on this, it doesn't disappoint.

Thanks @Sethmerlin666 I'm looking forward to making a couple more variants, but may take a little time off first to start something I thought up a few years back.

I wasn't happy with the pictures I took earlier. The cameras depth effect caused some blurring, and the images were very washed out and blue, but after finding a better camera app I've had much more success.

I didn't want to switch the photos in my previous post by editing it (last time I did something wrong and made a mess of the post) so please excuse the second set of pics guys.

Ok! Competition is now closed!
