Yakcomp 33: “Crossroad Junktion”

The Underhive doesn’t just supply itself!
You must create a transport hub or a place where passengers and cargo are exchanged between vehicles and/or between Guilder Caravans.
Hubs include train stations, subway stations, bus stops, tram stops, anti grav airports, wasteland ferry slips and Inter-Dome Lifts.

For more adventurous/ambitious yaks, hubs include railway yards, spaceports, sump seaports and ash waste truck terminals, or combinations of these.

Yaks have 8 weeks to create, make and paint their creation, which must include at least some upcycled materials!
It may be any size you like, but must be fully painted using at least three colours!

Bonus yak points* will be awarded for additional freight, vehicles/passengers, a hub controller/conductor and...
Even more Bonus yak points** for re/upcycling in a way that it doesn’t jump out what materials were used. We all remember the classic “soup tin water tank”, and all those pipes that are “totally not bendy straws”, so let’s see what you come up with :)

The deadline for this comp will be midnight GMT on the 14th May 2020.
Any yak wishing to enter should fill out the following:

I, [insert yak name], will be entering Yakcomp 33: “Crossroad Junktion” with my entry [insert working title], and will keep an updated work in progress here: [insert link to WIP thread].

(I stole this from B&C 😉😋)

e.g.
I, @CaptainDangerous, will be entering Yakcomp 33: “Crossroad Junktion” with my entry ‘Underhive train station’, and will keep an updated work in progress here: https://yaktribe.games/community/threads/the-dangerzone.5324/

PRIZE:
Not only will you be forever revered as the Yakcomp 33 Champion and get to decide the theme of the next Comp, but also, @Mad Robot is most generously gifting the Winner $15 In-store Credit + free shipping!

Good Luck Tribesmen!

*bonus yak points are worth 0
votes.
** extra bonus yak points are worth double bonus yak points!

I never mentioned any names. 😁 I meant good job everyone, if you two have got hurt feels, could that be because you feel a little guilty? I can't imagine why, I'm just talking here.😁

Anyway, I did notice @spafe dragging back @trollmeat to the table, including him when he tried to hide. And @ClockworkOrange show great support of this new format, leading by example as the first to sign up with name, link and all. Gold stars to all!

*the Captain makes the sign of the clone, just to let medmos know he has his clone faction back* 😉
(To make the sign of the clone, make a C shape with both hands and hold them in front of you)
( CC Clone Crew innit!)
(One C will look backward, but don’t worry about that, it kinda makes sense)
😋😄😄

It does seem more restricted, and also much more ambitious! Can't really get away with single model entry. I'm willing to give it a go, need some more shipping containers anyway.
Also, I figured I was already being watched by trolls @ClockworkOrange, since I've backed the clones from the outbreak... Also *bolstered by @CaptainDangerous support*, I ain't scared of no troll! 😠 😒
(🤥)

Hmmm... somehow this feels kind of more restricted than many other comps. I thought the comps were intended for any game that is supported by the website?

Agreed. While some themes might be more suited to a particular game, usually Necromunda, the competition usually has an 'or equivalent' proviso.

It is written in necro-style (because it seems to be the more popular game for this site), but the theme should work for other skirmish games too = All Mordheim & GorkaMorka entries encouraged.

That got posted as I was typing, but is basically what I was saying too - but in this case:

Preferably Necromunda, but...

That makes it sound like Necromunda is favoured (even though he goes on to say Gorkamorka is permissible).

I don't know whether I'll come up with anything, but a Mordheim/Frostgrave themed trading post or something would be far more likely, since I pretty much only play fantasy stuff (despite my love of Retromunda).

Whoo. Fun, very organised like....
I haven't done one for a while, I feel I need to....

I, Sethmerlin666, will be entering Yakcomp 33: “Crossroad Junktion” with my entry Something Something Blah.... (this name will most certainly change when I have an actual idea), and will keep an updated work in progress here:

Guess I should observe the formalities...

I, Punktaku of the Unfinished Entries, will be entering Yakcomp 33: “Crossroad Junktion” with my entry FYSC July 2020 Fodder, and will keep an updated work in progress here: Still haven’t figured this part out... do you go away and comeback? I think I did it right once by accident...
