I think I've painted somewhere in the region of 300 minis this year plus finished my Sumptown table plus a bunch of other terrain so burnout is to be expected. Going to downsize a bit next year.

Due to some unforeseen real life struggles I've not had chance or mental capacity to work much on my clinic. I'll be throwing some work at it in the coming days but there is a real possibility I won't finish in time unfortunately

We'll have to see. With Christmas on top of lots of random yakpoo I've not even had chance to look at it in a few days... Le sigh. I'll post wherever I get up to regardless and when it's finished I'll still post it even after the date.

Life continues to get in the way, but this weekend is looking a little clear, so it’s time to smash out some terrain and painting!

Ladders would be a possibility without increasing the shrine’s footprint, but they’re not very “elegant” when it comes to priests performing ceremonies or pilgrims visiting the shrine. A ramp or long flight of shallow stairs would be better. Unless it’s a ruined shrine, then a fragment of ramp or stairs with ladders thrown up as a replacement would be fitting.
Why have stairs when you can have FANCY SPIRAL STAIRS?!?!
Didn’t think it would work, but I’m loving the result.
Even better, they fit a base in the gap, so the action shots can work!

Scout Specialist MedMos was no stranger to recon duty, but even though he knew his squad was close by he'd never felt so alone. The comms had suddenly died, and before him throned a huge... entity. He steeled himself, being a Yak Marine after all, and addressed the entity.
"Who are you?"

"But... What are you?"

"Are you... good? Or evil?"
Good or Evil? Isn't that just a matter of your own perspective?
And for fun, I played a little with background lighting.

Just to spam the thread with the Trolls mighty progress - this is taking ages to skin the blimp! Not a single square panel…..

This little public session of self shaming prove to be revigorating.
A commitment being a commitment, having no time to paint my initial chosen SM set, I decided to look into my miniatures collection.
Having the full set of Citadel vintage Elric of Melniboné miniatures from the Eternal Champion range, I picked my favorite one :
I think this is a nice choice finally, Elric being famous for his poor health condition and suffering some kind of blood disease, which echo nicely our fallen comrade avatar and my own personal path.
Some resin sprue wastes looking like crenellations will add a minimal scenery element to the round base :
This was my fastest ever pinned and based miniature :
So here is Prince Elric prime coated :
And now I must stop wasting my time posting on these boards and need to learn some quick painting techniques...
