Ok. After an intense brainstorming 
I found a W40K miniature (that was initially intended for some other project) which could suit my sick idea.
I then put some air drying modelling clay on a classic base and here I am with a (still very) rustic base scenery.
I have some old Rackham models that would make some perfect Milliasaurs.
The miniature was donned with a new left hand a with a few minor but highly relevant details and it looks like I've got a beastmaster in the making...

I picked up a box of Cadian infantry on sale at the local hobby shop (they have a single gondola of GW stuff) so I think one of those will be my handler. I’ve had what I think I’m going to turn into the pet sitting around since the 1990s….
This cute little fella is “beasty” enough right?
I’m hoping this guy counts as a “warrior with a faithful companion”…

I tracked back my original miniature :
IG Wyrdvane psyker model from 2003.
Despite being found of rather sober bases, this one required some customization due to the specific lore I've written.
A mix of liquid putty, filler and fine sand was uses to texture it, along with some sand used as "contamination" on the boots and longcoat of the miniature.
The building process of the Beastmaster is now finished. Let's basecoat it while I'm thinking about the appropriate "pets".

I, @SuboptimusPrime will enter Yakcomp 41 under the theme "By article #32 of the Rogue Trader code, it's legal to have these!" and build a Rogue Trader Xeno beast handler out of the mutilated vintage Arbites proctor on the left and the old Horde Shredder figs at the front. This is the product of digital peer pressure.
