I’m unsure…. I considered filing it smooth to cover with something else (I don’t have a riot shield) a bit more techno. But then I also thought he’d hang on to it as a memento from home. Maybe some damage? Bullet hole or two?
I meant making it into a riot shield. :ROFLMAO:
Add a little window at the top and square edges on all sides.

Here's The raw materials for my project, still waiting on the wizard chap to arrive courtesy of fleabay. Seems a shame chopping up the Dragongrin Marrow lady, but I won't use her for fantasy so under the knife she goes!

Maybe I’ll shoot for a pair of entries, as the dwarf and this guy came together. Maybe whatever force threw the dwarf into the Underhive threw this guy too. I didn’t have an obvious conversion in mind when I chose to go with the dwarf.

I'm not sure I'll be able to entry this round. Nit that I don't want, I can't due to a lack of fantasy miniatures to sci-fify.

The only fantasy models I have are my Mordheim Dwarves.
Have you abandoned your Escher project? Would be a great opportunity to convert a Death Maiden or Wyld Runner from some elves... But if you only have dwarves, I see the challenge.

I did not. I ordered the Wild Hunt kit that is now OOP several months ago and it did not yet arrive. I would use that otherwise.

Those dwarves are all built and painted.

But! Do bloodbowl models as fantasy too? They do, right?

'Fantasy' and 'sci-fi' are slight restrictive terms, when we have pure historical (e.g. Bolt Action) and alternate (fantasy?) history (e.g. Silver Bayonet). I'd draw the distinction between real/fantasy 'past' and 'future' settings myself.

I definitely put Blood Bowl in the 'fantasy' side anyway. It's probably the easiest way to convert sci-fi/40k minis to fantasy.

I'm definitely in, with a pit fighter/pit slave converted from mostly wood elf bits. Think I'll just call her "Mask". My progress will be here.

Quick look at fantasy bits to work with so far.

Turnip 28 style minis would work too.

If that's turning (historical) Napoleonics into (fantasy?) Turnip28, then it's not clear that it does fit. Though you could do something that definitely would, for instance converting Cadians.

The original description of the comp specifically mentioned Fantasy/Historical or equivalent so youre totally fine with Blood Bowl etc.

Oldie worldie to far future. Or back the other way of course.

Napoleonics into Turnip? Turnip is sort of Napoleonic fantasy so it's not so much a time jump as a setting jump (I could be wrong, my knowledge of turnip is limited).
