Slowly plugging away. Main building is done. Making a little back yard and pavement area.

the Scrap Iron Chef is complete- made mostly out of bits from my spares box.
An infamous bounty hunter with a taste for exotic ingredients, the Scrap Iron Chef is rumored to have once been the private chef for a noble family in the heights of the Spire, but his quest to find new and ever more interesting recipes sent him downhive.

And I'm calling the Burger-Rhino done 🍔

I finally got some primer for my eatery, but now it won’t stop raining…. It appears my usual primer is out of stock, so I picked up a different Rustoleum gray primer.

Dude one of my biggest fears right now is the plastic all melting when applying the primer. After all this work I would be mildly annoyed to say the least...

Oh yeah. I’ve only had one plastic melt from primer. It was a vitamin-type bottle for some sort of organic supplement. Held glue fine, made a piece of scatter terrain, and then it just collapsed in on itself when the primer hit it.

I’m a bit worried because the dew point is high which can contribute to lumpy primer, and it’s a new (to me) primer. I’ve used other Rustoleum primers, so I’m hoping it’s ok. Says it’s good for metal, wood, and plastic, so here’s hoping.

Edit: added some detailing to break up the top smooth base.

Phew, I think my entry is done! But I think I'll let it dry completely and then take pictures in the morning. Any others putting final touches on stuff tonight?

I've spent all morning trying to finish all the details. I even forgot to eat breakfast and it's now past lunchtime here. I'm loving the way it's coming together.

I did have to check earlier today to make sure I wasn't going to miss the deadline. Pretty sure midnight Sunday UK time is 4:00 PM Sunday California time so I should have time to take some pictures in the sun tomorrow, so I can see all the mistakes I've made in pictures and make a last ditch effort to fix them!
