Huzzah. I actually have a few ideas for this one. Ogre Boss, Varghulf, Daemon Prince, Great Gargant, Hiveship… 🤔

Let’s start with this guy and his pet tactical rock and see how I get on.

A Big Guy? Sounds like time to sort out another "Aberrant," which is to say a really big Pit Slave 'gladiator,' for the possibility of some day hiring them. Let's see... old ork nob metal parts. Old guardsmen plastic parts. An assortment of mechanical parts. Bits of Kharadron Overlords weapons. Bits of ork melee weapons. Okay. They're do-able.

Nice start Tiny, and Stoof looking forward to seeing what you do with the Wraithlord.

For my part I will be making an Underworld Troll for Blood Bowl out of this pile of Rockgut Troggoth sprues and possibly a few other bits. The plan is to magnetise the model too, with a claw and possibly a prehensile tail option.

More notably I shall be attempting to paint this in “comic book style” which I have decided will be the thing that sets apart my Underworld team. I’m looking forward to using this style on such a big model as it should be an excellent canvas for the bold black lining, crosshatching and other marks.

This is my second attempt at an Underworld Troll, last time I started making one from a river troll loaded up with cork rocks to represent the warpstone growing from its skin. But that model is not appropriate for the comic book style, having too much rough texture instead of the smooth surfaces ideally required.

Comic book style? Like some of the stuff _thunderbrush_ does on instagram?

Exactly. I have big love for the style and since a Blood Bowl team is a manageable amount of models to do it on I subscribed to his Patreon to get the tutorials and last month I did a test model (it appeared in my May FYSC)

So on a troll, I figured it would be an even more fun style to do. Although I'm assembling it now and looking at all the scales and not looking forward to black lining each one individually...

Boom! Big Guy entry:

Thanks to whoever at HP built the server switch that croaked at work for this quick competition entry.

Imperial Fist contrast yellow is an excellent choice for painting... well... yellow stuff. It's my first contrast paint.
