Demo-Divo's Drifters.

A band of vicious thugs led by psychotic PDF deserter; "Demolition" Divo. The Hive Plains Drifters have captured a bunch of green hivers and put them to work in the Archeotech Mine that the hivers had been heading to.

The hivers were very skilled. A couple of machine smiths and a surgeon among the captives meant that the Drifters could set up their own friendly doc and a couple of workshops. No longer would they have to scrub for food in the vents system that "Demolition" Divo had picked as their home.

It wasn't pretty but it sure had been good enough to ambush those hivers ...

... Divo looked over his armaments, almost factory new and thought of the sorrow he would bring.

He could almost taste it ...

Hahahaha "Hive Plains Drifters" - great name! - No sign of a "Clint" or a "Unnammed Man" in your gang tho....?



Damn what a great poster that is - you gonna paint the town red @BeardLegend ?

Just a final note for tomorrow to anyone who hasn't been to EXP, if you approach from Dace Road or go to where the satnav says 60 Dace Road is, you may we'll be confused at the apparent vacant warehouse without an entrance. Walk towards the canal and the fairly well concealed entrance will be on the right. If you approach from the canal you will probably see it first time.

The gaming area will be through the pub and upstairs. If in doubt follow the signs to Magic Madhouse.

...now we are just a day away from the 75th annual Starvation Games!...

The grimmest and darkest grim dark factor of all is the Hive Guys right next to the Starvation Games arena

An incredible terrain set, both this and the Peterborough venues should host some amazing looking fun! Jealous excited for all the fun that is going to be had.

Great days gaming! - I'm exhausted!

Really enjoyed my first game vs @spafe , what a gent! - really fun game that I managed to win! Yesss (however Lord Pendulus was ignobly taken out of action early game!, which has damaged his pride significantly) - no major harm done post battle tho. And The Proeliators managed to keep most of the loot they were defending too (which means they can just about keep their two hired guns employed! - just!)

Its really tough trying to make a comeback and being an OAP (Outlaw And Proud).

The 75th Starvation games was completely awesome!! @Llewy terrain was astoundingly glorious - fulfilling a childhood dream for us both!

Lord Pendulus also acquited himself terribly by getting chosen as tribute and charging first turn only to get duffed up (as vengeance no-doubt!) by @spafe leader again!!! - the sheer shame!

After the Starvation Games festivities (and a little breather!) my second game of the day vs @Llewy and his ratskin tribe was also a success but has again essentially resulted in just enough creds to pay for the hired guns (after pawning a chainsaw!)

A great first day to the weekend and I'm really looking forward to the (sure to be epic) PURGING of the Glimmergrotto tomorrow afternoon - I'd really love to squeeze-in a game vs @Alobar and @BeardLegend toMorrow if poss!?

Truly great day here in London, was a real joy to put faces to the names, only slightly marred by the sadness at not being able to meet all the Peterborough lot too!

It's true, as reported above, in the final game of the day my Yakskin's were absolutely trounced by the purple clad pit slaves.

Springing the ambush it was sposed to be like shooting fish in a barrel but I forgot that Yakskins can't shoot for shit!

The beastmaster's dogs forced a swirling melee that went on for turns.

Lord Pendulous was delighted and muscled his way into the little thing the Yakskin's had going on the toll road, forcing them to find new territory.

But the real news of the day was @Alobar's glorious win in the Starvation Games!

A full report will be forthcoming but it would be a shame not to proclaim his victory briefly!

Just like the movie, the cornecopia of weaponry in the centre became a bloodbath!

The two scavvie giants, even though one had had his horns torn off before he entered the arena, soon singled themselves out as possible contenders for the title.

For a moment it looked like our real life katniss everdeen, @Jaws' female Yeld with a handbow, might be able to take them down.

But despite by now having taken two flesh wounds the scavvie brutes managed to overpower her and with no one left to defeat were forced to turn on each other to quell the bloodlust of the crowd.

Leaving the victor of the 76th annual Starvation Games none other than Gator!

Well done @Alobar and for your entertaining victory the mayor of uptown Mega Dome One has been forced to swallow his disgust and donate to you a spore cave where you could live out your days peacefully... Although something tells me peace is probably not what Gator and his chums are after!

(I loved the 'Sector 1' vs 'Sector 12' vibes of the Scavvies vs Spyrers final turns of the 75th Starvation Games - it was great to watch and @Jaws was an elegant and consumately gentlemanly and sportsmanlike in accepting his worthy defeat.

In other news, we had one of the super-keen staff judge the "Best Gang of YakDay London" competition too - which was deservedly won by the excellent "Hive Bastards" Goliath gang that @Fold had brought along - some fantastic details (5-o-clock shadows on the bald heads and chins!) and vivid colour scheme, some fantastically characterful compositions and conversions and really fantastic attention to detail on the basing too! - not to mention the always hilarious Goliath names (the juve "Fist-punch" stood out as a particular favourite of mine)

The starvation games was awesome. Well done Llewy for the scenario and spectacular terrain. The pics don't do it justice. The level of detail is obscene!

I think my scaly and scavvy had the best stats going in to the game, my tactic of going for the max under dog bonus in round 1 really paid off.

I know I've won a spore cave but scavvies aren't allowed to keep them. As they're important for the campaign I'd like to put them up for 'auction' in a group fight. Will be there later and see how/if that can be done. Otherwise I'll have to loot the spore cave which will give muchos credits!!!
