I want to enter a competition at some point but I'm not sure on whether I would have the time this month.

Would a unit of traitor/awol guardsmen or inquisitorial retinue in the hive be within the guidelines ?

@nooker is just advertising, it's a re-run of the pumpkin heads from Anvil Industry - you can see that fig on their homepage

"Advertising" isn't exactly what I had in mind, but djmothra is right about the source. It was just awesome and seemed to fit so well. Also not the first time I've been sorely tempted to get the heads.

Mmmm, this is a really tricky brief and I'm struggling to think of a suitable project I can complete in the timeframe. My available paint time allows me roughly one model per week, and I'm already committed to two other figures over the course of the month.

Maybe I should paint something small

Time for a WIP post... I've been working on the three Squat models, using @Fold's rules for squat mining gangs..
- Leader, chain axe and not-sure-what gun (in progress)
- Heavy, heavy stubber, modelled as a mini-gun (in progress)
- Ganger with a rock drill, possibly in some sort of exo-suit (thereby also using the vehicle rules - I've only started one foot so far.. )

To go with this lot I've decided to model some terrain - mine workings - that would be usable as a gateway piece in The Raid scenario.
I'm planning to call my entry "None Shall Pass":

@ClockworkOrange - does the entry have to be a specific gang, or could it be something else related to a scenario? Could I do some models representing a trader caravan for example?

As long as it's not one of the main gangs from one of the rule books it should be ok
