So, here we go...

Yes, that juve is taking to you, yes YOU! So, is there anyone here at YakTribe gaming going to take her on?

Here is the Criteria - Model a figure based on your own or another forum users name, it can be any special character, gang warband member, special, heavy, hired gun etc but must be a single 28mm miniature.

This is open for Necromunda (& INQ28), Mordheim and Gorkamorka entries.

Additional: (as suggested by @capitan ) - these are just some extra suggestions - I won't be strictly enforcing them, mainly just for fun and to keep the competition interesting.

1. If you can see someone has already started work on a forum name - please try and choose a different one to do instead - we'd rather not have 10 different FlameKebabs for example

2. If you'd like to keep the name of the forum user you are making a secret, then please do so - although we still want to see the WiP on your normal blog - of course, if you do keep the name secret until the final reveal, someone else may have done that name too - not a problem.

3. If you'd like to change the name slightly - that is ok too - examples: A single letter change or perhaps a rhyming name - so long as it very obvious to everyone who the Yakker is of course

So, how do you define "model a figure"? Would a conversion/sculpt be enough to enter or is one required to paint it and base it?

I imagine my name gives someone the opportunity to create something suitably foul and hideous.

Oh boy, I love the idea and this is going to be really really hard to choose who would be the one who gets one butt ugly figure named after! I would love to make homage to @NeekUK mustasches but the name isn't just about right... @simon just has good name for ganger -> "Simon says!"...

But perhaps I choose @Rusty101 to be my pit slave 4+ armor save techno. As the rules were that the model has to be started after the comp is announced I will start again, and perhaps use the one I have made as "Shiny010"

ps. If @Malo isn't done by anyone then shame on you all! (I don't do it because Malo deserves to be more attractive miniature than I could make )

A conversion or sculpt would fit withing the parameters - although, we wouldn't consider the model finished until it has some paint on. Most of us would probably do some kind of base too - although, not necessary (so long as the base is clean of course!)

And yes @Loriel It's virtually the same as an idea on your post So, now - go for it! And yes, the Shiny010 as a Rusty101 homage is fine - so long as it is obvious of course.
Oh, you can enter more than once too!

Also, I'm moving and don't know if I'll have settled, set up interwebs, unpacked minis/tools and had time to model something worthy of being submitted by the deadline, so one of you lot will have to :-D

I'm seriously considering it! Real dilemma between SomeHairyGuy, Sump Dweller and Clockwork Orange....may have to do all 3

Am I observationally challenged or is there actually no way to edit my post? (Perhaps that will teach me for trying to learn how to use this new fangled "smart phone" technology)...

...well, no harm done, at least I am closer to the minimum spam count that is apparently required to be able to have an avatar.

Awesome idea @ClockworkOrange

I've some ideas for a few of you forum dwellers, but the model I have in mind should be called @Flamekebab. I'll work on a couple and see which will paint up better.

How do folk go about donating prizes?
