Here it is! What you've all been waiting for. Well, wait no longer!

The Seventh Official Yaktribe Competition is finally upon us...the Criteria this time - chosen by @grimwork with the fantastic "Stingray" car is...

A House of Cards

Now, you're all thinking Terrain right? no...

Build a group with at least two members of a Noble House, Brats, Servants or a Lord for Necromunda... A Made Ork, who earned his place on the hulk for Gorkamorka... or an equivalent for Mordheim - Mayor, Knight!

Plainly speaking people from The Spire or Royalty, members of a Noble House - a Lord or Lady and his / her servant or counselor. An aristocratic Hunting Party, a Trader and his retinue, something like that. Someone powerful. Something we normally don't see in our games (apart from NPCs) but wish our leaders might become.
Traders and Guilders with their retinue are also great examples.

Standard Rules apply here as usual.
Please note, 'build a group of at least 2'.

This competition easily covers Necromunda, INQ28 and Mordheim - it's also certainly doable with GoMo too. (I'm looking for some Mordheim love this time - djmothra )

Competition ends Sunday 31st May - so you have just over a month to do this one.

Okay, I really need to check no, can we enter 1 for mordheim and 1 for necro? or is it limited to one entry per person?

Sounds like it is 2 that go together, as one entry.

...though you are always allowed to make more than one entry.

I'm reading that I'm not allowed to just make a couple of Spyrers. :-\

You can enter more than once yes, but the 'at least 2 models' need to go together - so you'd be making at least 4 if you enter twice

And, no...no Spyrers!

Excellent idea for a competition! By pure coincidence I painted up a model last night which I plan to build my entry around:

The group will be a daughter of a noble family, her tutor (left, needs conversion work) and her bodyguard

That is quite a good point, and one I might run with. @djmothra - can we get a ruling on this? Would a Matriarch/Patriarch pair be a legit offering? (I've got ones I was working on previously, but I would start over for this comp if they are acceptable.)

Barring that, or possibly instead of/as well as, what about a high-ranking Arbites/Enforcer officer and a small coterie of advisors/assistants/guards, - i.e. much more influential than what you would see in an Arbites/Eforcer patrol that we would see used in Necromunda as a player's gang.

Weirdly I thought that if I ever won a competition my choice for the next theme would of been this. I would say that spyrers are allowed as it does state that people from the noble houses which spyrers are. Also since I am half way through a guilder gang I will have to bring one of my future projects forward for this one. Looking forward to finally getting around to doing one of these

Yes - the general Yaktribe Competition rules (I believe rule 1) is that models cannot be started before the competition is announced and that a WIP should be shown in your blog. This includes construction/conversion.


I will be entering this one, as soon as (as long as) I get an idea.
