Week 3 of our Necromunda Dominion Campaign in Calgary is in the books, and House Delaque is crawling out of the shadows in a big way!

This update features two full battle reports (Van Saar & Cawdor), tactical reflections, and a close look at Cauldron of Lies. It also dives into postgame decisions with some spicy upgrades on the table.

Highlights:

Cauldron of Lies scenario breakdown

Field-testing Spatial Psychosis

Anu finally hits something with his Long Rifle

Downtime planning with 450 creds on the line

Would love feedback, and especially curious—how would you spend the credits?

Calgary, you say?

There was just recently someone on the Discord looking to find out about Necromunda play (events? campaigns?) in Alberta specifically. Me, I am off on the East Coast, so not much help to them in that. Someone there would like to learn about your campaign, and the who and where and all.

Brutes can be fast and can be melee effective - but you already have that space covered, with the Nacht-Ghul.

You have a lot of solid mid-range strength, including special effects (like web template, for example), so you have that space well covered.

One long rifle isn't necessarily the strongest long-range cover, however, I say from experience. A second long rifle, operating as a team, can do a far better job of locking down some long ranged fire, and that could be worth investing in. Especially with hit bonuses such as the las-projector (so +1 at ALL ranges). Another possibility to consider is fancy ammunition for your folks - whether grenades or fancy ammunition for those long rifles. Playing into your Delaque gang's strengths, such as low Willpower, Cursed weapons could be a solid choice against most gangs whose Willpower is far worse (not Helot Cullts, who are immune to Insanity, mind). Shard Grenades and Warp Rounds could be an interesting choice, with a lot of potential tactically and a lot of potential amusement. Just a thought.

Anyhow. Do advertise the Calgary community on Necromunda Discord, for the person(s) there who is looking to find it.

Thanks,

I will have a look on the discord and see what I can find!

Hey scummers — sorry for the delay between updates, but I’ve finally got the latest battle report written up and posted!

This one's a big one — a full-length narrative recap of the Dark City Dogs vs a Spyrer Hunting Party during the Takeover Phase. I went all-in on the storytelling for this one, with tactical commentary, campaign impact, and a bit of Pulp Noir fiction to frame the action.

You can check it out here:

Hope you enjoy it, and thanks again for following along with the YYC Underhive War campaign!
