N18 Is the following written as intended

Hello all,

Not sure if this is in the right forum but has a question that came up during our last Necromunda session.

In the Cargo Run on page 214/215 of the core rule book, on the table of the effects the 2+ effect states (basically) that all models must move 8 inches or go out of action taking a lasting injury.

It would appear that if this effect is chosen every round, it is an auto win for the defense.
By choosing this effect the only option is to run all fighter models and full throttle all vehicles which means the game is locked in a perpetual state of full movement and no shooting guarantying the win for the defensive.

Could you please provide clarity on this rule and let us know if our interpretation of the rule is correct and is intended as such or have we misinterpreted the rule in which case could you please explain how this effect should be applied.

Regards
Ivan

Good find there! Wouldn't say auto win because some models can move 8"+ and still attack. This could be from stat alone (Outrider, Wolfquad, Dustback Helamite, Cutter, Dirtbike) to skills (Run & Gun) to other wargear and equipment for fighters and vehicles to boost speed. Gangs need to already have this ability before the battle, so might be very niche and only affect parts of the crew. Other than that, it is open to Charge but sounds risky as M5" needs to roll 3 on a D3 in order to survive.

It is a different Cargo Run scenario (also Rolling Road) you can use instead since this seems potentially broken. Unless that version 2 also is broken in some way (haven't checked).
