Hi all,

How does scattershot work?

Sawn-off shotgun hits and roll a 3 on the D6 wound rolls to make. I have to wound on 4+

I then roll: 1, 4 & 5

Does this mean the below:
I score 2 wounds and the enemy fighter has to make 2 saves (1 for each successful wound roll)? If failed, that would be 2 damage?
I score 2 wounds and the enemy fighter makes a single save? If failed, it would be 2 damage?

OR, as is my interpretation its the below:
I score a single wound and the enemy fighter has to make 1 save? If failed, that would be 1 damage?

Scattershot is intended to work in slightly increasing your wound chance vs lower toughness/low armour targets at short range as it gives you more wound rolls to make but there is only 1 hit at D1 and therefore only 1 wound can ever be caused.

Please advise.

Two wounds scored require two save rolls- each wound will cause 1 damage if not saved. The roll to hit just means that, you hit, it has no impact on any further rolls/limits to damage.

Scattershot is designed to put a lot of potential wounds/damage on a target, but has the downside of generally being weak in strength (requiring higher Wound rolls) and lacking AP (meaning well-equipped targets are better at surviving).

Yeah that is my interpretation to - you roll to hit, you then get a D6 to see how many rolls to wound (hits) you got.

However, for Acid Ammo i have ever only rolled one dice to see if the target is Ablaze. That is correct, no? Regardless of number of hits? Got me thinking about that now. But seems more.. Fair..?

After an attack with the Blaze trait has been resolved,
roll a D6 if the target was hit but not taken Out of
Action. On a 4, 5 or 6, they become subject to the
Blaze condition.
So Blaze is checked with one dice roll after every succeffully-hit Attack with a weapon with Blaze. Not every hit, but every attack. So it looks like you are doing that right.

Most times shoorting is one Attack, which can lead to multiple Hits - whether through Rapid Fire or through Scattershot. Melee on the other hand more often involves multiple Attacks, each of which would need its own Blaze check.

Yeah conditions normally don't stack, stuff like Gunked, Blaze, Blind, Webbed... similar traits don't stack either, like Rad-phage.
