@MedMos, I think Tak's belts look good, but if you're looking to buy some, Dragonforge minis sells ammo belts and power cables and such. My experience with them has been that it can take a while to get stuff, but I've always been pleased with the quality. That and I've used some GW ork bullet belts for larger weapons like heavy stubbers.

You could make them individually out of some 1mm rod stuck inside some 2mm tube, and round the end of the 1mm rod off to a point. Very labour intensive. Or you could take a strip of some textured sheet styrene (corrugated roofing) and glue it back to back. I did that for the magazine of my Grotling Guns.

If you can't make your own and need to buy some, Anvil Industries (http://anvilindustry.co.uk/Ammo-Belt) here in the UK do some, as do Zinge Industries (https://www.zinge.co.uk/products/detailed-ammo-belt-sprue-of-2) and I know Dragon Forge Design (http://www.dragonforge.com/Painting service/for sale/conversion_parts.htm) in the U.S. do some.

Hope that helps?

Btw, I tried making some out of 10 thou sheet. Was really fiddly, and didn't really work :(

Guys, has anyone seen any really good tutorials on graffiti? I'd love to pepper my terrain with graf but without it taking ages! There must be some dope techniques, both when it comes to designing the graffiti as well as painting it. Any leads appreciated.

Best case scenario I'd love to be able to do something like this:

I discovered that watch spring bars/pins used for wrist watch straps make excellent gun barrels. You can get a set of them in different lengths online for about $6, with free shipping on eBay. (See photo).

First, choose the length you desire. Don't try to cut the barrel to length, as I discovered you will only succeed in crushing the bar/pin. To remove the pins on either side of the bar/tube, you will need two pliers to grab the tips on both ends. Pull, until one or both come out. The remaining tip should fall out. If not, clip it off, but not the tube, as you do not want to crimp it.

A tiny spring inside will slide out. Keep it for your bits box. You now have a perfect open-mouth gun barrel that is close (Well, closer anyway) to scale. Would work great on a needle gun. Notice the car with the MG on the side has a barrel attached to a Orlock auto-gun, and that it has a opening on the end of the barrel. Neat, no?

Craft tube beads are also great for larger bore guns. Ignore that some in this photo have crushed or rough ends---They usually come in perfect rounded shape.

The gun barrel watch pins idea is great  I moved the thread here so that I would be able to find it later when I knew it existed but struggled to remember where it was. If anyone has any other threads they can think of that are really good modelling tips that we can merge into this one for easier referencing, either tag me or another moderator in a post in that thread or send a PM :)

You could take pictures of graffiti and create your own decals. Search on YT for Water Slide Decals.
