Warlords of Erehwon

We’ve started a ‘conquest of nowhere’ map campaign and are a few games in now. Today a vampire lord and his retinue of ghouls faced off against the foul horde of the evil sorcerer the White Hand, to retrieve a sacred relic. It just so happened that this particular relic belonged to the ancestors of my Dwarf Lord Bouldertoe who rushed to defend it! The game was close but in the end my dwarfs managed to fight off the two warbands and preserve the dignity of my ancestors final resting place.

The campaign my pal cooked up is jam packed with d100 tables of random nonsense so so far my dwarfs are doing well, going 2 for 2, but a random disaster is sure to hit me soon!

Man I am having bad WoE withdrawals during this time! Gonna work on finishing my backlog for when the fun can resume.

I’ve done a lot of army books for this with various WHFB units added to the lists, and a magic expansion, if anyone wants em I can add em to the vault.

This campaign ended in a big siege game. My Dwarfs had blocked the two Undead armies from heading down from the frozen North of the map the whole time, so they teamed up to storm the hold. It was an epic game, even though I was destined to lose it was great fun blasting the deadites as they stormed the walls. My Lord Bouldertoe was finally felled by a ghoul king, just as the last defences were felled.

Ive added the campaign pack we used in the Other Games section of the vault is anyone was interested, and the expanded magic rules we used, alongside loads of army lists for those that have Warhammer armies gathering dust.

I’m looking over those resources for approval, some have (deleted) in the title, what’s the crack with those?

First post lockdown battle, as my Ogres took on an empire gun line, man it was brutal for my chubbers! Exchange of missiles from all the empire hangunners and pistoliers was real tough to deal with, and some appalling rolling on crucial command checks really stuffed me early on. My greedy boys pulled it together in the later turns but the damage was done by that point and the humans held on to their farmstead.

My giant was my MVP, smashing the war wagon to bits before finding himself stuck in the open facing scores of handgunners... guess how that went. My ironblaster went down in turn one and failed every recovery check until the last turn when it finally got a shot off at some dryads that the empire wizard had summoned from the woods.
I forgot how much fun this game is!

My pals and I finally collated all the stuff we made for the game, gave it a polish, and being big kids we decided to get it all nicely printed in a big hardback book for no good reason whatsoever!

Our next map campaign is starting this month as well so we are all pretty amped up for more sweet Woehammer action
