Greyhart's Projects Thread - Because all the other cool Yaks are doing it.

It's just been the last week or so, but if it continues to be a problem I'll definitely have it checked. I have a friend and my father who both have Parkinson's so I'm paying attention.

And as always, thanks for the compliment.

I started the last four minis of my Heavy Gear Southern army today (Black Mambas). Might have a pic tomorrow of them in progress.

Next will be the other half (three minis) of the Steel Rift Quick-Start box, The Authority. I'm not certain if I'll finish it before the new year, but I'll be working on my Adeptus Titanicus Warlord after that.

So..

Stalled on my Heavy Gear and Steel Rift stuff, along with the Warlord. I'm putting them aside for now until I can get motivated to do them again.

I have been doing some painting.. finally. I've been teaching my son (35) who's been visiting from out of state how to paint. He's got a ton of mechs for Battletech he wants to paint, along with the 40K Ultimate Starter Set he bought just today. It gave me some drive to get started again. So while he was practicing, I started on the Vespid Stingwings from Kill Team: Hivestorm.

Basecoated and washed, tomorrow I'll work on the dry brushing.

I just wasn't feeling the bugs yesterday so I pulled out some terrain and battlefield assets. They're - relatively - easy to paint. Base coat, wash, dry brush with a few details picked out. I started with the smallest ruined wall section to get my paint colors and mixes figured out. I have another section started that I'll finish along with the barricades in the next few days. After that I'll work on the Stingwings some more.

FINALLY! After 3 months of languishing on my painting table I finished the last of my Heavy Gear Southern army.

I've also finished a few terrain pieces for Kill Team: Hivestorm but I'll post them in the February FYSC thread.

I think I'm starting to get back in the groove, however this darn weather we're having lately isn't helping me any. Cold, wet and snow every few days which makes me ache and my hands swell up.

Getting old sucks. 1 star. Would not recommend.

Picking up speed on my painting again thank heavens. I finished up these three mecha from the Steel Rift Quick-Start box. I still need to put on decals (tomorrow) and clear coat when the weather gets warmer.

Still plugging away at the Warlord, but probably won't finish anything more until the weekend as Mrs. Greyhart and I have a lot going on this week. In the meantime I've started work on more of my Steel Rift models. I got crazy this morning and magnetized the vehicles.

I've been making a lot of progress on my Warlord these last couple of weeks. I'm hoping to finish it up by Sunday as I'd like to start on my pile of Steel Rift next week.

I only have the power claw and the two Sunfuries to finish. I'm working on the murder mitten now and am going to try to finish that today. We'll see how it goes.

Just laid down basic colors with no shading, highlights, or details to see how it looked on the model. I have to say I like it, especially the 'swampwater green' (actually Vallejo Dead Flesh).

Been busy the last two weeks working on my Steel Rift Authority forces.

Just need to finish the basing tomorrow so I can put them up on the March FYSC.

Magnetized weapons arms top, light HE-Vs (Humanoid Exoskeleton - Vehicle), recon vehicles, and ultra-light HE-Vs, which are about 1/3rd of what I currently have.

I have four medium HE-Vs, 14 more arms, four support vehicles with magnetized weapons, and three more ultra-light HE-Vs on my desk that I've started.

Well April is almost over I haven't gotten anything done much to my frustration. The first part of the month was rainy weather which made my hands swell up and be useless. I was just getting over that and back into painting when my dad developed health issues and has been in and out of the ER and is currently in the hospital with pneumonia. On top of that my aunt died two days ago. So, yeah.. it's been a month.
I tried to paint yesterday but could not get motivated on my current project (Steel Rift Authority medium mechs) so reached out to my friends - as always - for inspiration. Gaslands was suggested as I haven't done that in over a year, but all my stuff is in storage. Except, I remembered, everything I bought for MICRO Gaslands. Anyway, I sat down and customized six knock-off Micro Machines cars yesterday and primed them up this morning.
