N18 Necrodamus/Bookromunda (rules compilations)

Cheers! And sorry for your loss, I've lost a few friends too. At this point it will be near impossible to make changelog. Ideally it'd be a git project, possibly in latex or something, and it would be easy to see diffs between each version. This project started small and I don't think anyone expected the amount of changes and books. The amount of changes would make it impossible to keep up with font changes scattered about for each version. Unfortunately this is now residing in a completely bloated google slides document. It has some limited version control but it's so slow and also can't share the source directly anymore due to legal threats. This thread eventually grew into a pseudo change log, but it's hard to keep up and keep it complete. A few years back I printed this on paper too, and every time a new book came out just after. With the amount of changes, both big and small, it will be near impossible to update a physical document. And it's not just me, GW spent almost 6 years getting the rulebook right.

Big and small changes are incoming soon! For example I recently noticed that one of the armours got updated in N23 to take up a weapon slot so that'll be in the next version. And Hive Secundus book plus the latest Apocrypha are almost done.

Yeah that's nicer. I want to move over to libreoffice draw, but that'll take years to complete. I'm not sure markdown or equivalents can handle the complexity of some of the layout and formatting. Very pleased with the extreme freedom in google slides.

thanks for the info and quick reply! Ive been on the Necromunda ride since the beginning (90s, N17, and N23), but just found your doc. I know what you mean about the books and rules changes!
Another ask is maybe add the Source to each of the scenarios so we know where it originally came from?

Yeah I wish I'd done better versioning of scenarios from the start. It'll be way too much work for me now. The thing is, everything grew out of proportions so slowly. So many things I'd like to change in hindsight. Didn't expect the same scenario to morph and mutate into several different versions. Tried to get an overview a while back, but it's all a big mess unfortunately. Different scenarios with the same name. Same scenarios with different names. Minor changes of republished scenarios. Sources vary from White Dwarf, pdfs and books.

I think an online excel sheet exists somewhere with all scenarios and sources. Have to start there. But again, no time. Got so much real life stuff going on now, almost no time to even play a game... Of course I'd be happy to invite you into the project if you want to fix it yourself ;)

Perhaps necrovox got better info on scenario sources?

Hello

In necrodamus p.164 Malstrain wyrd powers :
- Hypnotic Gaze : lack his description, according to the Book of Desolation (p.55) is : Hypnotic Gaze (Double): Target an enemy fighter within 9", if they are Standing and Ready, they lose their Ready marker.
- The Horror : is stated as having a 18" range but according to the Book of Desolation (p.55) it's 12" : The Horror (Basic): Target an enemy fighter within 12", the targeted fighter must immediately make a Nerve test.

Hello

In necrodamus p.164 Malstrain wyrd powers, the Horror is still at 18" and not 12"

Otherwise can you give me the reference(s) which establish the exact functioning of the corpse grinder's masks ? How did you know you can use the action again for exemple ?

Thanks, looks like I didn't fully fix it first time. Will get back to you about sources for Terrifying. That's the rule of the mask you are wondering about, and not the other masks? May have been deducted from other updated publications of the same rule for something else.
